Special Spotlight: CHALLENGING OUR TECHNICAL CIVILIZATION!

Tibor Kecskes

We live in a technical civilization, where science takes the dominant role. In many cases, science and integrated rationality detach from human complexity. (Based on the dualism of Descartes.) We assume that real human thinking integrates rationality, emotions, intuition, and even body sensations. (Maurice Merleau-Ponty.) At this workshop, we make a brainstorm to discuss the possible ways how Art and Design can complement our scientific-rational structures for new, beneficial paradigms. We try to find the adequate role of emotions, intuition, irony, and humour.

Let your mind wander and dive deeper into this mind boggling question with Mr. Kecskes in his workshop “CHALLENGE OUR TECHNICAL CIVILIZATION”
