Silja Tusa
Silja Tusa is a third-year fine art student in the Media and Arts bachelor’s program at Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK).
Their works draw inspiration from every day, combining personal narratives with universal experiences. Art is not just a tool of self-expression for Tusa, but a way to start conversations. Their pieces consider various themes such as wellbeing, presence, and corporate capitalism, but all works are unified by a philosophy of finding joy, playfulness, and beauty in the mundane.
By sharing their side of the story, Tusa invites the audience to reflect on how the questions raised in her works connect to their own lives, and in doing so, she hopes to create a moment of stillness between the work and the minds of the viewers.
